Patient Advisory CommitteeMission Statement:The Patient Advisory Committee will support the mission of Quality Insights Renal Network 3 to enhance the quality of care provided to ESRD patients, to represent and support the ESRD patient population by actively participating in the committee responsibilities and related functions. 

  • This committee is charged to provide consumer advice to the Medical Review Board and/or the Board of Directors and other committees on such matters as, but not limited to:
     
    • Assist with the content development and format of the QIRN3 consumer web site and patient newsletter; 
    • Assist with acquiring and promoting educational materials and resources for ESRD patients; 
    • Facilitate and improve communication between consumers and facility staff; 
    • Direct attention to areas and or issues of consumer concern; 
    • Provide feedback on effectiveness of Network 3’s beneficiary-related activities; 
    • Review and make recommendations regarding beneficiary-related health care messages, materials and activities planned by the Network; 
    • Assist in identifying barriers to obtaining quality health care from all perspectives on behalf of ESRD beneficiaries; 
    • Attend meetings and show commitment to Quality Insights Renal Network 3; 
    • Be well-informed on issues and agenda items in advance of meetings; 
    • Contribute skills, knowledge and experience when appropriate; 
    • Listen respectfully to other points of view; 
    • Maintain confidentiality and privacy as appropriate.
